Terms of Use
Effective October 5, 2026
The short version: Distractodo is a self-control tool provided as is. Use it to help you focus, but don't rely on it for anything where a missed block would cause real harm.
Agreement
By downloading or using Distractodo (the "app"), you agree to these terms. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If the two conflict, Apple's agreement controls.
Using the app
We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. Please don't copy, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute it except where the law allows.
How blocking works, and its limits
Distractodo relies on Apple's Screen Time frameworks to block apps and measure usage. iOS decides when shields appear and how usage is counted, so blocking may occasionally be delayed, imprecise or interrupted, for example after an iOS update or if Screen Time access is turned off. Distractodo is a personal productivity aid, not a parental-control or safety tool.
Beta versions
Beta versions distributed through TestFlight are pre-release software. They may contain bugs, may change or lose data, and may stop working when the beta ends.
Your data
Your tasks, chores, balance and settings stay on your device and belong to you. See the Privacy Policy for details. We can't recover data that's lost when the app is deleted or a device is reset.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost time, productivity or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the new terms.
